Bass Tagelharpa – From the depths of Helheim
Ready to explore the lowest depths of Nordic sound?
The Bass Tagelharpa (also known as Baritone) is built for players who crave heavy drones and deep resonance—like a giant from myth singing through the strings.
This instrument delivers a low-end punch that approaches the range of a contrabass, while still allowing tuning flexibility up to cello-like scales. Perfect for creating atmospheric layers, slow ambient dramatic riffs, or grounding your ensemble with rich, earthy tones.
Tuning Range Supports a wide range from A2–D2–A1 down to F2–C2–F3, giving you room to experiment with different setups and styles.
Optional Piezo Pickup Want to amplify your sound? Add a piezo pickup for just €30—ideal for live gigs or studio sessions.
Whether you're a seasoned Tagelharpa player or just looking to explore a new deep sounding musical territory, the Bass Tagelharpa is a must-have for serious players.
Reviews
The first part of the review I'll cover the first part of the process. I learned a lot from Daniel through his reddit comments and youtube videos and decided he seemed wise to buy from. The entire process from purchase to arrival he was open and good with communication. He did a custom design for me including text which I highly appreciated. The instrument itself arrived and sounds amazing, I have been using his tutorials to learn. Beautiful and amazing sound, recorded day of arrival. Love it!
Just fyi, this is my first Tagelharpa and also my first bowed instrument. I am blown away by this bass version and couldn't have made a better decision for my music direction. The communication during & also after ordering was just beyond: custom design options, updates during the making and tips for getting started. The sounds coming out of this instrument are so raw and otherworldly and I'm enjoying the journey of diving into this music world. Daniel, thanks so much for your magical creation♡
Daniel took the time and effort to build a beautiful fully custom tagelharpa bass for me. He consulted close to me and took into account even the smallest details to ensure my vision would be realised down to the smallest point. The instrument sounds and play beautifully and would 100% trust Daniel and his luthier skills again 🙏
